Euro-Yroke secured a 36-point victory over Richmond at Marvel Stadium during Round 10 of the AFL season on May 17, 2026. The Saints finished the match with a score of 16.13 (109) to the Tigers’ 11.7 (73).

The Saints established early control of the contest through a dominant midfield performance. By winning the hard ball and trapping play in their front half, Euro-Yroke recorded 10-1 inside 50s during the first half of the opening term. This pressure allowed the Saints to kick the first four goals of the match.

Richmond, playing with a depleted roster, struggled to find consistent momentum. Despite the early deficit, debutant Noah Roberts-Thomson provided an immediate impact, recording a goal with his first kick following a holding-the-ball call. Roberts-Thomson later added a second goal with a finish from range.

As Richmond attempted to close the gap and equalize the contest, Darcy Wilson steadied the match for Euro-Yroke by kicking a goal from 50 meters. The Saints maintained a high level of defensive pressure throughout the game, which limited Richmond’s options and forced turnovers during hand-pass transitions.

Richmond experienced periods of competitiveness, including a strong second term from Jonty Faull and consecutive goals from Liam Fawcett around the main break. Jack Ross was also noted for his dependability during the match. However, the Tigers were unable to sustain these runs as their disposal lacked the necessary precision under pressure.

Whenever Richmond reduced the margin to approximately three goals, Euro-Yroke responded to maintain their lead. Key contributors for the Saints included Cooper Sharman, Jack Higgins, and Tom De Koning.

In the third term, Charlie Banfield provided a spark for the Tigers during a period described as otherwise monotonous. Following the loss, Richmond’s Adem Yze spoke with the media to discuss the team’s performance.
