Salah vs Moneim: 3 Key Differences in Their European Breakthroughs

English Liverpool star Mohamed Salah sits on the throne of the best Egyptian professionals on the European continent, and his career has become a dream for Egyptian players, all of whom aspire to achieve what he has achieved.

Today, the number of Egyptian professionals on the European continent is much higher than in the past, including French player Mohamed Abdel Moneim of Nice.

Mohamed Salah began his professional career at Swiss club Basel in 2012, after his talent emerged with the Egypt Olympic team and his appearance in the first team.

Despite Salah’s distinguished career, the move towards professionalism draws comparisons with Mohamed Abdel Moneim.

At the time Mohamed Salah began his professional career with Swiss club Basel, he was only 20 years old and had played no more than a local competition with the Mountain Wolves.

In the district, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, 25 years old, played for the Egyptian national team in several tournaments and with Al-Ahly he won the local and continental championship twice in the Club World Cup.

The biggest league

Salah moved from the Egyptian league to the Swiss league, which is considered one of the middle leagues on the European continent and not one of the five major leagues.

Before Basel, Salah did not face public pressure except for the Egyptian youth and Olympic team during his participation in the 2012 London Olympics, unlike Menem, who played in front of thousands of fans on multiple occasions, as Al-Ahly enjoyed. In addition to the Egyptian national team, overwhelming popularity in Egypt and the African continent.
