Former talk show host and Emmy winner Sally Jessy Raphael has listed her long-term country estate in New York’s historic Dutchess County for sale.
The property, known as Elmwood Farm, is located in Pawling, approximately 70 miles north of midtown Manhattan. The 25.5-acre estate is available for $6.5 million via Harriet Norris of Douglas Elliman.
The center of the property is an Elizabethan-style Tudor manor house built in 1860. The main residence measures approximately 15,000 square feet and contains 17 bedrooms and nine bathrooms, along with four powder rooms.
Architectural features of the main house include a grand oak staircase with hand-carved wooden animals positioned atop the newel posts.
Beyond the primary residence, the estate includes several additional structures and facilities:
- A 12,000-square-foot stable
- A yoga studio
- A carriage house featuring chauffeur’s quarters
- Two caretaker homes
Raphael and her late husband, Karl Sodlerland, who passed away in 2020, purchased the sprawling property in 1997 for slightly more than $1.7 million. Prior to their acquisition, the estate had been held by the same family for nine generations.
