Samana Developers Pledges AED 15 Million to ‘Edge of Life’ Campaign
SAMANA Developers has contributed AED 15 million to support the ‘Edge of Life’ campaign, an initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to rescue five million children from hunger. The campaign aims to raise a minimum of AED 1 billion for sustainable programs combating childhood hunger globally.
The initiative, operating under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), has partnered with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and Action Against Hunger. It focuses particularly on children in the world’s most vulnerable communities, where statistics indicate that five children under the age of five die from malnutrition and hunger every minute.
Imran Farooq, CEO of SAMANA Developers, stated that the campaign reflects His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision of prioritizing the fight against hunger as a global humanitarian imperative. He added that the initiative “cements the UAE’s leading humanitarian role.”

The ‘Edge of Life’ campaign is accepting contributions through seven main channels. Individuals and institutions can donate via the campaign’s website, www.edgeoflife.ae, or by calling a dedicated toll-free number, 800 4999. Bank transfers can be made to account number 940340003708472909222 (IBAN: AE) at Emirates Islamic Bank in UAE Dirhams.
Donations can also be made via SMS by sending “حياة” (Hayat) or “LIFE” to 1034 (AED 10), 1035 (AED 50), 1036 (AED 100), or 1038 (AED 500) on the du and e& networks in the UAE. The campaign is also accessible through the “DubaiNow” app under the “Donations” category, YallaGive.com under the “Donations” category, and through a dedicated wallet on the Dubai community contributions platform, Jood.ae.
The campaign invites contributions from all members of society, fostering values of compassion, solidarity, and empathy in the effort to save millions of children from the threat of hunger.
