Samsung has decided to postpone the launch of its upcoming extended reality (XR) headset to ensure product quality and refine its marketing strategy, according to a report by ET News. Introducing Galaxy XR: “Moohan”
Internally codenamed “Moohan,” meaning infinity, the headset is expected to be released under the Galaxy XR brand. Galaxy XR aims to blend enhanced reality (ER) and virtual reality (VR) technologies with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and a new platform designed for digital content consumption.
Pricing and Production Plans
Samsung has set a price of approximately 2.7 million Korean won for the Galaxy XR, which translates to roughly SEK 18,000 (approximately $1,650 USD as of September 21, 2024). The company initially plans to manufacture around 100,000 units of the device.
