This year’s competition saw over 15,000 students from 40 top academic institutions across India vying for the top spot, showcasing their business acumen and innovative thinking.

The finale, held in Gurugram, brought together some of the brightest minds in the contry, culminating in a display of insightful exchanges and groundbreaking ideas. JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, lauded the participants, stating, “At Samsung, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Samsung E.D.G.E. has consistently empowered students, providing a platform to showcase their creative solutions for enhanced consumer experiences. Team RSP from XLRI Jamshedpur secured the coveted national winner title with their innovative strategy to boost consumer engagement. Their proposal, which impressed the jury, included leveraging brand mascots, geo-targeting, Gen MZ hotspot tagging, and mall activations to create personalized and localized experiences. The team – Pranjali Bhatia, Siddhartha Dwivedi, and Rohan Bhardwaj – were awarded a cash prize of INR 450,000, Samsung’s flagship smartphones, and pre-placement offers from Samsung.
Team Chevy67 from XLRI, Jamshedpur claimed the first runners-up position
Team Chevy67, also from XLRI Jamshedpur, secured the first runner-up position with a strategy focused on driving adoption in the smart home market. Their proposal aimed to create an interconnected, future-ready ecosystem that streamlines the user experience globally. The team – Apurvaa Mittal, Chayan Banerjee, and Shubham Tripathy – received a cash prize of INR 300,000.
Team pheonix from the Indian institute of Foreign Trade, calcutta, finished as the second runner-up. Their forward-thinking ideas involving ‘Spin to win’ Smart QR Codes and sustainable design aimed to elevate brand engagement through experiential retail. The team – Varun Goyal, Umang Jain, and Saksham Jain – were awarded INR 150,000.
