Samsung Electronics has officially expanded its mid-range portfolio with the launch of the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G. Announced on March 25, 2026, and released to general availability on April 10, 2026, these devices integrate Samsung’s latest AI capabilities and long-term software support to target the mid-range smartphone market.

The new lineup is centered on the democratization of AI, utilizing an upgraded version of Awesome Intelligence to simplify daily productivity and creativity. Both devices ship with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 out of the box, providing users with immediate access to the latest software ecosystem.

Galaxy A57 5G: Performance and Design Enhancements

The Galaxy A57 5G serves as the premium offering in this series, featuring a thinner 6.9 mm body and a more refined design compared to its predecessors. To address thermal management and performance stability, Samsung has equipped the A57 with a vapor chamber that is 13% larger than the previous generation.

Visual improvements include slimmer bezels and an Enhanced Vision Booster to improve display visibility in various lighting conditions. The device maintains a 5,000 mAh battery, balancing its slimmer profile with sustained power capacity.

Galaxy A37 5G: Mid-Range Utility

The Galaxy A37 5G focuses on durability and core utility, featuring water and dust resistance to protect the hardware from environmental damage. Like the A57, It’s powered by a 5,000 mAh battery and incorporates the same One UI 8.5 software suite.

The A37 emphasizes its camera capabilities, specifically utilizing Nightography features to enhance low-light content creation, supported by AI processing to maintain image quality throughout the day.

Pricing and Market Availability

Both the Galaxy A37 and A57 have seen a price increase of €50 for their starting prices. While official U.S. Pricing has not been formally announced by Samsung, anticipated prices are listed at $449 for the Galaxy A37 and $549 for the Galaxy A57.

The price hike is attributed to the rising costs of memory chips and the current global economic situation, a trend also observed in the Galaxy S26 series. In Hong Kong, the devices became available on April 10, with early bird offers running from April 2 to April 9 through authorized resellers and Samsung Experience Stores.

Software Longevity and Support

A significant pillar of this release is the commitment to device longevity. Samsung has announced that the new Galaxy A series will support up to six generations of OS upgrades and up to six years of security updates.
