Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Receives One UI 7.0 Update in Europe

Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 7.0 update, built on Android 15, to its Galaxy A16 5G smartphones in Europe. This update delivers a host of enhancements and the May 2025 security patch, improving device security.
The update, identified by firmware version A166BXXU3BYEC, requires a download of approximately 3GB. European users of the Galaxy A16 5G should now be able to access the new software.
To install the update, navigate to Settings, then Software update, and select Download and install. After the download, tap Install now to complete the process.
The one UI 7.0 update brings a redesigned user interface, including new app icons and a more customizable Quick Panel. notifications are now on a separate page, and stock apps have been updated. The update also features fluid animations, new widgets, and enhanced lock screen customization.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G also gains the Now Bar, displaying ongoing activities, and integrates Google’s Gemini as the default AI assistant. The camera app layout has been simplified for one-handed use, and privacy and security have been improved with the Knox matrix Dashboard.
