Samsung Galaxy S25 Series: AI-Powered Smartphones Revolutionize Interaction
Samsung Unveils Galaxy S25 Series, Revolutionizing Smartphone AI Interaction
In a grand unveiling at Galaxy Unpacked in San Jose, Samsung pulled back the curtain on its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S25 series. The trio — Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25 Plus, and S25 — sets new benchmarks for AI-powered smartphones, transforming how we interact with our devices and the world around us.
"Every great innovation reflects user needs," said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. "We’ve developed Galaxy AI to make our devices more intuitive and accessible, without compromising privacy."
The Galaxy S25 series introduces an AI-based operating system that redefines daily tech usage. Powering these advancements is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, customized to handle larger-scale processing for Galaxy AI and cutting-edge cameras controlled by the latest ProVisual Engine.
Cameras across the series cater to different photography enthusiasts:
- Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus feature a triple rear camera setup: 12MP Ultra Wide (F2.2, 120˚ FOV), 50MP Wide (F1.8, 85˚ FOV), and 10MP Telephoto (3x Optical Zoom, F2.4, 36˚ FOV), along with a 12MP front camera (F2.2, 80˚ FOV).
- The Galaxy S25 Ultra ups the ante with four rear cameras: 50MP Ultra-Wide (F1.9, 120˚ FOV), 200MP Ultra Wide (F1.7, 85˚ FOV), 50MP Telephoto (5x Optical Zoom, F3.4, 22˚ FOV), and another 10MP Telephoto (3x Optical Zoom, F2.4, 36˚ FOV), paired with a 12MP front camera (F2.2, 80˚ FOV).
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy boasts an octa-core CPU (2×4.47 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L + 6×3.53 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M) and Adreno 830 GPU. Samsung reports a 40% boost in NPU performance, 37% in CPU, and 30% in GPU compared to previous generations, enabling on-device AI functions previously reliant on the cloud, like Generative Edit.
Diverse RAM and ROM options cater to various needs:
- Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus: 12/512GB, 12/256GB
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: 12/1TB, 12/512GB, 12/256GB
Display sizes range from 6.2 inches (FHD+) on the S25, to 6.7 inches (QHD+) on the S25 Plus, topping off with a 6.9-inch (QHD+) display on the S25 Ultra. All three feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display and Super Smooth 120Hz refresh rate (1~120Hz).
