Samsung Launches Bespoke Over-the-Range Microwave with DualVent Technology in the US

Samsung has launched the Bespoke Over-the-Range Microwave in the United States, introducing a 2-in-1 kitchen appliance that merges a high-capacity microwave oven with a powerful range hood to save space. Priced at $749 with an initial promotional discount bringing it down to $674, according to Samsung, the new appliance is designed to handle both cooking and kitchen ventilation within a single footprint situated directly above a cooking range.

Ventilation Features and DualVent Technology

The ventilation system utilizes Samsung’s proprietary DualVent technology, which features vents positioned at both the bottom and the front of the appliance. According to Samsung, the system delivers up to 500 CFM of airflow and captures up to 82 percent of cooking fumes, matching the performance of the company’s standalone range hood models. Unlike standard over-the-range microwaves that frequently require users to manually open auxiliary vents, the Bespoke Over-the-Range Microwave opens and closes its secondary vents automatically.

Smart Integration and Connected Kitchen Ecosystem

As a smart home appliance, the unit includes native SmartThings support, allowing it to sync directly with compatible Samsung cooking ranges. According to Samsung, this Auto Connectivity feature wirelessly links the two appliances so that the microwave’s ventilation system and lighting turn on and off automatically based on the activity of the cooktop below. For exterior maintenance, the appliance features a fingerprint-resistant finish alongside backlit touch buttons.

Air Fry Max and Companion Slide-in Ranges

The matching slide-in ranges feature Air Fry Max for crisping food without preheating, True Convection for even baking, and Air Sous Vide to maintain moisture. The electric model features a 3.6 kW Express Boil cooktop with dual-ring elements, while the gas model provides a 23 K BTU Dual Power Burner. Aesthetically, the ranges include illuminated precision knobs, a soft-close door mechanism comparable to automotive designs, and a handle design matching Samsung’s 2026 refrigerator lineup. When paired with the Bespoke Over-the-Range Microwave, the integrated convection cooking and Air Fry Max features allow users to prepare multiple air-fried dishes up to 15 percent faster, according to Samsung.
