The Tata Harrier EV, launched Tuesday by India-based Tata Motors, is the ⁣first car to feature Samsung’s Neo⁢ QLED screen technology in its infotainment⁢ system. This follows a preview ⁣of the Ready Display lineup by Samsung-owned Harman ⁤Automotive at CES 2025.

neo QLED displays utilize mini LED backlighting and quantum dot technology. This combination creates deeper blacks, brighter images, and⁢ enhanced colors compared to standard ‍LCD‌ screens. The mini LED system allows for more precise⁢ local dimming.

Tata Harrier EV

In addition ​to the Samsung Neo QLED display, the ⁣Tata Harrier​ EV boasts a JBL audio ​system, also owned by Samsung, with ‍10 speakers and⁢ Dolby Atmos support. The electric ⁤SUV is ‍available in two configurations.

The base model features a 65 kWh battery pack and a 238 HP electric ⁢motor powering the ⁤rear ‍wheels. A higher-end version includes a 75 kWh battery, a 238 HP rear motor, ​and ⁤a 158‍ HP front motor. The starting price​ for ⁤the base variant is INR 2,149,000, or approximately $25,020.
