Samsung Electronics has announced its 2026 television strategy, centering on the expansion of its Micro RGB display technology and a broad integration of artificial intelligence across nearly its entire product range. The company is positioning these developments as a new premium category designed to fit a wide variety of living spaces while increasing the accessibility of high-end display hardware.
The 2026 Micro RGB lineup expands the available sizes to include 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, 100-, and 115-inch models. This range introduces two new series: the flagship R95H and the R85H. In an effort to make this technology more accessible, the 55-inch R85H is priced starting at $1,600 in the U.S. Market.
Technical Architecture of Micro RGB
Micro RGB technology utilizes red, green, and blue LEDs that are smaller than 100 μm. Unlike other RGB technologies, these microscopic LEDs emit light independently, which enables ultra-precise light control and minimizes color bleed.
According to Samsung, this architecture allows the TVs to achieve 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color area, an international standard established by the International Telecommunication Union. This claim has been verified by VDE.
The flagship R95H model further differentiates itself with the integration of Samsung Glare Free technology, which is designed to maintain color and contrast in bright, sunlit rooms. The overall color expression of the lineup is managed by the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro.
Samsung Micro RGB TVs set a new standard for color and realism previously impossible in TV technology. And by offering sizes to suit any living space, we’re ensuring many more shoppers can enjoy this new world of color right in their living rooms.

AI Integration and Market Strategy
Samsung is implementing a comprehensive AI strategy for 2026, with a goal to equip 99% of its television models with AI features. This move is part of a broader effort by Samsung and LG to maintain market leadership and counter competition from Chinese manufacturers through advanced AI-equipped hardware.
On April 15, 2026, the company showcased these AI-powered screens and connected experiences at the Inside Samsung The First Look Europe
event in Frankfurt. The showcase highlighted the company’s intent to use AI to make screens more personalized, inclusive, and seamlessly integrated into daily life.
For 20 years, we’ve been the world’s number one TV brand by continuously challenging our own standards – from design-led moments like the Bordeaux TV back in 2006 to breakthrough display technologies like QLED and Neo QLED. These technologies come from years of engineering, design thinking and relentless innovation to form something beautiful. Today, we’re opening the next chapter of that with Micro RGB and a host of AI-powered experiences that make our screens more intelligent, more inclusive, and more personal than ever before.

Expanded 2026 Portfolio
Beyond the Micro RGB series, Samsung’s 2026 roadmap includes the debut of The Frame Pro models. The company’s overall visual display strategy for the year emphasizes a transition toward intelligent processing capabilities across all formats, from cinematic 115-inch displays to space-conscious premium formats.

Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, stated that the expanded 2026 portfolio is intended to deliver vivid color and clarity to make content feel more expressive and engaging while maintaining the company’s picture standards across the full range of modern living spaces.
