Approximately an hour later, at 1:20 a.m., the victim was located approximately 100 yards from the point of entry, near Buckhorn State Park and Grass Island. Despite efforts by emergency medical services, the man, identified as Edward Lachapelle, 61, of Turner, Maine, was pronounced dead at the scene.
