Officially today, Thursday, the largest cultural event in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean begins: the ‌traditional San Sebastián Street​ Festivals 2026.

At ⁢around ‍5:00 pm ‌the ribbon cutting of the 56th edition dedicated to⁣ the playwright, director, ‍writer and actor‌ will⁢ take place. Jacob Morales.

The opening will begin the parade along⁣ San Sebastián Street in a giant troupe⁣ made up of the image of ‌the patron saint, big heads, dancers, stilt ‌walkers and pleneros, along with the mayor of⁣ San Juan, Miguel Romero. The Agua, Sol‌ y Sereno ⁤collective along with ​other cultural groups ⁤lead the‍ troupe.
