The Government of Santa Fe opened a formal recruitment drive to fill 150 vacancies for the Higher Technical Degree in Criminal Investigation, offering a base monthly student stipend of $950,000. The initiative forms part of the broader provincial security plan to increase specialized investigative personnel across the central and southern regions of the province. Authorities established application windows and strict eligibility criteria via Ministerial Resolution No. 3347/26, targeting new technical profiles for the Santa Fe Police.
Priorities and Regional Focus for Applicants
The recruitment process prioritizes applicants residing in specific territorial departments to bolster local investigative capacity. Preference goes to candidates rooted in Belgrano, Iriondo, San Lorenzo, Caseros, Rosario, San Martín, San Jerónimo, Constitución, and General López. Applicants must hold Argentine citizenship, possess a complete secondary or polimodal school diploma, and fall between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of the propaedeutic period.

Technical Program Spans Three Years with Internships
The technical program spans three years, combining in-person instruction and practical training with virtual coursework. The first two years run from March 2027 through December 2028 at the Rosario headquarters of the Public Security Institute, featuring professionalizing internships within the Police of Investigations (PDI). Students who successfully complete their second year can enter the police force as general echelon police sub-officers specializing in criminal investigation. The third year of the curriculum is completed entirely online.
Upon graduation and active service integration, agents can expect an estimated starting salary of approximately $2,150,000 based on current pay scales, alongside an automatic police food allowance card currently valued at $211,307 monthly. Additional benefits during training include the Iapos health plan, medical and psychological care, food rations, and the Free Educational Ticket. Graduates also receive standard uniforms, duty weapons at no cost, scheduled free transportation, and optional housing assistance in Rosario.
Admission Process Requires Multiple Evaluations Before November 5
The admission process is entirely eliminatory and includes document verification, medical and psychological evaluations, physical fitness tests, computer and literacy exams, personal interviews, and socio-environmental checks. Applications remain open online through the official Public Security Institute portal until November 5, following guidelines issued by the Ministry of Justice and Security.
