Interviewer: Welcome, Jeremías! Congratulations on your remarkable achievement with the winning flag design for Santa Fe, “El Guardián del Colgante.” Can you tell us what inspired you to create this design?
Jeremías Martínez De Mattia: Thank you! The inspiration for my design came primarily from Santa Fe’s rich history and natural beauty. The Puente Colgante is an iconic landmark that symbolizes the connection between people and places in our community. I wanted to encapsulate that essence in the flag. Jeremías Martínez De Mattia: Absolutely. The laurel branch represents glory and victory, which pays homage to Santa Fe’s status as the “City of the National Constitution.” The book signifies knowledge and education, highlighting the importance of these values in our society. Together, these symbols convey a message of unity, pride, and forward-thinking for our community.

Jeremías Martínez De Mattia: I envision the flag being proudly displayed in schools, government buildings, and community events. It should be a symbol that inspires dialogue about our values and encourages civic engagement. I hope it becomes a fixture of local celebrations and gatherings, reminding everyone of our collective identity as Santafesinos.
