Departure and Reflections on “We Are Nobody”
Television personality Kiko Matamoros has publicly addressed his exit from the program We Are Nobody (Spanish: No somos nadie) in an interview wiht Ricky’s Channel on YouTube.He also discussed the possibility of a future return to Telecinco, according to a report by 20 Minutos.
Matamoros stated he left with the intention of pursuing other opportunities, explaining, “I leave with the hope of doing other things […] There has been a moment when I have not been comfortable and there is no more.” He downplayed the impact of his departure,suggesting it wouldn’t be significantly felt,notably considering Belén Esteban‘s previous exit. “The march of Belén Esteban has not been noticed,” he said, ”so I hope that mine is not significant either.”
Despite his departure, Matamoros expressed confidence in the program’s success. He noted that We Are Nobody “has very good audiences” for an “undocumented” show, referencing its broadcast on TEN and Canal Quickie. He also emphasized his extensive experience in the television industry, stating, “I have worked for many years in a much more complicated environment than this.”
Future Projects and Potential Return to Telecinco
Looking ahead, Matamoros indicated he intends to remain involved in media. While he dismissed the possibility of a career shift into sports commentary – “It might very well be sporty, but no. These are things that are being talked about and that are very tender” – he assured viewers they haven’t seen the last of him. “It won’t take long for you to hear from me,” he stated.
Regarding a return to Telecinco,Matamoros appeared hesitant but didn’t entirely rule it out. He revealed he had proactively taken steps to mend fences, stating, “just in case I have already apologized to Santi Acosta,” adding the comment with a laugh.
