A 32-year-old woman from virginia is in custody, charged with leaving the scene of a vehicle death, a felony, after the hit-and-run that killed Sara Burack, 40, Southampton Town police reported Friday. burack, a realtor known for her appearances on Netflix’s “Million Dollar Beach House,” was found dead early Thursday morning on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.

Jeff Kirby, a local resident, questioned why Burack was walking along Montauk Highway so late, noting that businesses in the area were closed.
Burack, who had transitioned from her real estate career about a year ago, frequented the Southampton Library, according to Neil Szczygil. “I no she was kind of going through a hard time living out here, not really having a place to go, so she was at the library a lot,” Szczygil said.
