Sarah McLachlan Returns With ‘Better Broken’ Album

Sarah McLachlan is set to release her first album of original songs in more than a decade. Titled Better Broken,the album will be available September 19 via Concord Records. Fans can now view the music video for the album’s title track, directed by lauren Wade.
McLachlan described the inspiration behind the new record in a press release, noting that the songs reflect on navigating the challenges of the modern world. She expressed hope that the album would offer listeners “some relief and release,” encouraging them to connect with the music on a personal level.
The album was recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles with producers Tony berg and Will Maclellan. A number of musicians contributed to the project, including Wendy Melvoin, Matt Chamberlain, Benny Bock, and Greg Leisz. Katie Gavin of the band muna is a featured artist on the song “reminds Me.”
