SARATOGA SPRINGS,N.Y. – Get ready for more racing action at the Spa! Saratoga Race Course is expanding its 2025 summer meet,adding four extra days of thrilling competition.
The New York Racing Association (NYRA) unveiled its 2025 racing calendar Tuesday, revealing a packed schedule for Saratoga. A highlight is the relocation of the popular July 4 Racing Festival from Belmont Park to Saratoga. This four-day extravaganza, running from July 3-6, will add to the excitement already generated by the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, which will be held at Saratoga for the second consecutive year.
The move comes as Belmont Park undergoes extensive renovations.consequently, Saratoga will host the third leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes, on June 7.This prestigious event will anchor a five-day festival at the historic track.
Saratoga’s traditional 40-day summer meet will kick off on Thursday, July 10, adn continue through Labor Day, September 1. The season will culminate with the highly anticipated Travers Stakes on August 23.

NYRA Spokesperson: That’s right! In addition to the July 4th Festival, Saratoga will host the Triple Crown’s final leg, the Belmont Stakes, on June 7th. This monumental event will be the centerpiece of a five-day festival, marking a historic moment for Saratoga Race Course.
