Sarria, Spain, will onc again host Ars Combinatorio’s “Music vs. Spaces” cycle, beginning April 26. The town will also welcome back the ars Combinatorio musical camp for young people from July 20 to Aug. 2.
“Music vs. spaces” Concert Series Returns
The concert series, in collaboration with the sarria Council, will feature seven performances, according to organizers.the first concert is scheduled for 6 p.m. April 26 at the House of Culture.Admission is free.
The inaugural performance, titled “GLOSSAS ABOUT CARLOS V,” will be a narrated concert. Musical pieces will be interwoven with stories and anecdotes about Charles V, creating an engaging show designed to introduce classical music to a wider audience.
Dates for the remaining concerts will be announced later, but they are expected to take place during the summer months.
Registration Open for Ars Principia Music Camp
Ars combinatorio will also bring its Ars Principia music camp back to Sarria. This marks the ninth edition of the camp and the second consecutive year it will be held in the town.
Registration is now open for the camp, which is designed for young string musicians between the ages of 8 and 20. The Arsactus Association organizes the event in collaboration with the City Council of Sarria.
Last year’s camp was considered a success, with 26 young musicians participating. Organizers noted the high number of returning attendees as a testament to the camp’s popularity.
During the two-week camp, participants will balance rehearsals with recreational activities. In 2024, activities included concerts and outreach to local institutions, such as a performance and music therapy workshop at the Center for Care for People with Disabilities (Capd) in Sarria.
