Satechi’s Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock, first unveiled at CES 2026, has begun shipping to customers as of April 26, 2026, according to Forbes Innovation. The docking station, designed to enhance connectivity and storage for Mac mini M4 Pro and other Thunderbolt-equipped systems, marks Satechi’s entry into the Thunderbolt 5 accessory market.

The CubeDock features an integrated NVMe SSD enclosure supporting up to 8TB of storage with transfer speeds rated at 6000MB/s. It includes a built-in 180W power supply, allocating up to 140W for host charging and an additional 30W for peripheral devices such as smartphones and tablets.

On the connectivity front, the dock provides three downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, along with USB-C and USB-A ports rated at 10Gbps. It also includes UHS-II SD and microSD card slots, a 2.5Gb Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio jack with input and output capability.

Satechi states the CubeDock supports dual 6K displays at 60Hz on Apple Silicon Macs, including M3, M4, and M5 systems, without requiring third-party software. On Windows PCs, the dock can support up to three 8K displays at 60Hz, depending on host hardware capabilities.

The device leverages Intel’s Thunderbolt 5 chipset, offering 80Gb/s bi-directional bandwidth as a baseline and up to 120Gb/s in unidirectional transfers using Bandwidth Boost for display-intensive workloads. Satechi describes the integrated active cooling system as “whisper quiet” to maintain performance during extended use.

The Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock is available for pre-order directly from Satechi at $400, with shipments beginning in the first quarter of 2026. A separate Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable, supporting 80Gb/s data transfer and 240W power delivery, is also sold by Satechi for $40.
