Director Sathyan Anthikad Praises Asif Ali’s Film “Kishkindha Kandam”
Renowned director Sathyan Anthikad has expressed his admiration for the Malayalam film “Kishkindha Kandam” starring Asif Ali. In a Facebook post, Anthikad shared his thoughts on the film, stating that he felt more relief than joy after watching it, especially considering the current state of Malayalam cinema.
Anthikad commended the entire cast and crew, highlighting Asif Ali’s astonishing performance. He also praised the film’s director, Dinjit, writer and cinematographer Bahul Ramesh, for creating a hit film without relying on conventional formulas.
“Kishkindha Kandam” was watched when I was in doubt that Malayalam cinema would collapse after seeing the news circulating in the media. It was more of a relief than a joy. Director Dinjit, writer and cinematographer Bahul Ramesh have proved that they can make a hit film without relying on any so-called winning formula.
Anthikad also appreciated the performances of other actors, including Vijayaraghavan, Aparna Balamurali, and Jagadish. He congratulated the music composer, Mujeeb, and Joby George of Goodwill Entertainment, for believing in the new generation of filmmakers.
National award-winning filmmaker Anand Ekarshi also expressed his appreciation for the film, calling it an “amazing film” that should not be missed.
Bahul Ramesh has written the screenplay and handled the camera of the film, which is a family thriller. The performances of Asif Ali and Vijayaraghavan in the film are getting good response from the audience.
