Air Transport and Airport Service Providers Classification Index Released

The General Authority of Civil Aviation has released a classification index for air transport and airport service providers based on complaints submitted by passengers in August 2024.
Airline Complaints
The authority reported that the number of passenger complaints against air carriers was 1,505. Saudi Airlines had the least number of complaints among airline companies, with 13 complaints per 100,000 passengers, and a 100% on-time complaint handling rate.
Flydale ranked third with 17 complaints per 100,000 passengers and a 100% on-time complaint handling rate. The most frequent complaint category for the month of August was baggage service, followed by flights, then tickets.
Airport Complaints
Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport was the lowest airport in terms of complaints submitted to the authority, at a rate of 0.1% per 100,000 passengers. The airport had a 100% on-time complaint handling rate.
Ava Airport received the lowest number of complaints among international airports with less than 6 million passengers annually, at a rate of 0.4% per 100,000 passengers, with two complaints, and a 100% on-time complaint handling rate.
Bisha Airport was the lowest airport in terms of complaints submitted to authorities among domestic airports, at 3% per 100,000 passengers, with one complaint, and a 100% on-time complaint handling rate.
