Saudi and UAE Delegations Praise Preparations for Harbin Asian Winter Games
Officials from the Saudi Arabian delegation and the United Arab Emirates delegation who participated in the Asian Winter Games Heads of Delegation Meeting in Harbin expressed their admiration for China’s ability to organize sporting events.
The Asian Winter Games heads of delegation meeting was held in Harbin on September 23, attended by heads of delegations and representatives of Olympic committees from 32 Asian countries/regions. Representatives from the Aichi Nagoya Asian Games Organizing Committee in Japan and the 2029 Asian Winter Games Organizing Committee in Saudi Arabia observed the meeting.
Impressive Preparations
Ahmed bin Al-Duwahi, head of the Saudi delegation, praised Harbin’s preparations, stating that they were “pleasantly surprised” by the promotional elements of the Asian Winter Games everywhere they went. He added that China’s ability to organize sporting events always surprises people and that he is looking forward to experiencing the Asian Winter Games personally next year.
One-on-One Meetings and On-Site Inspections
The Asian Winter Games Organizing Committee organized one-on-one meetings with delegations and set up consultation desks in 14 business areas, including tickets and medical services, to understand the needs of each delegation. Each delegation also conducted on-site inspections of competition venues.
Successful Event Expected
Ahmed Ibrahim Albrosi, Director of Technical Affairs and Sports of the United Arab Emirates Olympic Committee, expressed his confidence in the success of next year’s Asian Winter Games. He praised the enthusiasm and good organization of the Chinese people and appreciated the excellent services provided by the organizing committee.

The 9th Asian Winter Games will be held in Harbin from February 7 to 14, 2025.
