President Raisi, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA, welcomed the initiative and expressed iran’s willingness to engage in constructive dialog to address regional challenges.

Both leaders agreed on the importance of stability and security in the region and expressed their commitment to finding peaceful solutions ⁢to disputes. The delegations⁢ are expected to⁢ meet within the coming weeks to discuss the practical steps for restoring full diplomatic relations, including the reopening of embassies.

This development follows a Chinese-brokered agreement reached on March 10, 2023, to restore diplomatic ties, as detailed ‍by Reuters.
