Saudi Arabia Tax Fine Waiver: Act Before June 30 Deadline
Updated June 08, 2025
Saudi Arabia is reminding taxpayers that the deadline to capitalize on the tax fine waiver initiative is fast approaching. The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is urging eligible individuals and businesses to take advantage of this opportunity before June 30, 2025.
The initiative provides exemptions from financial penalties associated with late registration across all tax systems, delayed payments, and the tardy submission of tax returns. This Saudi tax fine waiver also extends to fines incurred for correcting value-added tax (VAT) returns and violations discovered during field inspections related to electronic invoicing.
To qualify for the tax fine waiver, ZATCA stipulates that taxpayers must be registered within the tax system and have submitted all required returns. Crucially, they must also remit the full principal amount of the outstanding tax. Taxpayers can request to settle their dues in installments, provided the request is made before the initiative expires and all payments are made punctually, adhering to a payment plan approved by ZATCA.
It is indeed crucial to note that this initiative does not encompass penalties related to tax evasion or fines that were paid before the initiative’s commencement.
What’s next
