The MOU, signed on December 15th at Saudi Cruise Company headquarters in Jeddah, outlines a collaborative effort to bridge the gap between academia and industry. saudi Cruises will provide valuable insights and expertise to shape the university’s curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the demands of the tourism cruise sector.

In return, the university will leverage its academic resources and experience to create practical training programs that equip students with the skills needed to thrive in the cruise industry. The partnership will also offer field training opportunities for students, providing hands-on experience and fostering a seamless transition from academia to the workforce.
This MOU builds upon a triumphant existing partnership. In 2021, the two organizations launched the “Ambassadors Program,” where 56 students from the College of Hospitality and Tourism gained practical experience aboard an MSC Cruises ship under the guidance of international maritime tourism experts.
