Jeddah,​ Saudi Arabia ⁤ – Saudi Cruises, a⁣ key player in the Kingdom’s burgeoning tourism sector, has⁤ signed a‍ Memorandum of⁤ Understanding (MOU) with Prince⁣ Muqrin⁤ Bin Abdulaziz University​ in Madinah. This partnership aims to develop specialized ⁢training programs and educational curricula tailored to the growing needs of the Saudi cruise industry.

The MOU, signed on December 15th at Saudi Cruise Company headquarters in ⁣Jeddah, outlines a collaborative effort‍ to ⁤bridge the gap between academia and industry. saudi Cruises will provide valuable insights‌ and expertise to shape the university’s curriculum, ensuring it⁤ aligns with the demands of​ the tourism cruise sector.

“This‍ collaboration with Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz University represents a qualitative step towards developing ⁢national expertise ⁢in the tourism cruise sector in Saudi Arabia,” said Lars Klassen,‍ CEO of ⁣Saudi cruise Company. “Through this partnership, we aim to provide new opportunities for Saudi youth and will contribute to strengthening the tourism sector.”

In return, the university will leverage‍ its academic resources and experience to create practical training programs that ⁤equip students⁣ with the ‍skills needed to thrive in the cruise industry. The partnership will also offer field training opportunities for students, providing hands-on ‍experience and⁣ fostering a seamless transition from academia to the workforce.

This⁤ MOU builds upon a triumphant existing partnership. In 2021, the ‌two organizations⁣ launched the “Ambassadors Program,” where 56 students from the College ⁤of Hospitality ‌and Tourism ⁣gained practical experience aboard an MSC Cruises ship under the⁢ guidance ⁢of international maritime tourism⁤ experts.

“The tourism and hospitality sectors are one of the ⁤fundamental pillars for achieving the goals of⁢ Vision 2030,” said Dr. bandar Hajjar, President of Prince Muqrin Bin‍ Abdulaziz University. “we aim to ⁣provide ‍an enhanced⁤ learning habitat to ⁢lead this conversion ⁣in⁣ the industry sector and enable our students ⁢to contribute effectively ⁣to a thriving tourism system in Saudi Arabia.”
