Introduction

Introducing a money-saving recipe: “Rich and delicious! Stir-fried pumpkin with minced meat and miso”. The flavor of the minced pork infuses the pumpkin, making this a perfect side dish to go with rice.

Ingredients

For 2 servings:

  • Minced pork: 100g
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/6 pumpkin
  • Cane sugar: 1 tablespoon
  • Miso: 1 tablespoon
  • Cane sugar: 2 teaspoons
  • Sake: 1 tablespoon
  • Grated garlic: 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil: 1 teaspoon

How to Make It

  1. Cut the pumpkin into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle sugar (1 tablespoon) all over. Leave for about 5 minutes, then microwave (600W) for 5 minutes.
  2. Cut the onion into small pieces.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan and fry the onions. When they start to soften, add the ground meat and fry until cooked through.
  4. Pour the combined ingredients (A) into (3) and stir fry while evaporating the liquid, then add the pumpkin (1) and stir fry.
  5. Serve on a plate and enjoy.
