Businessman Naguib Sawiris recently shared his thoughts on the decision to appoint former Finance Minister Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali as a member of the Economic Development Board.
Sawiris took to his personal page to express his opinion, stating that Dr. Ghali “never stole and never lied, and was acquitted after years of suffering by the Egyptian judiciary.”
This statement comes after a Republican decision was issued to reorganize the Specialized Council for Economic Development affiliated with the Presidency of the Republic, with Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali being appointed as one of its members. This marks Dr. Ghali’s first official post since the January 2012 Revolution.
