Scale AI Acquires Pesto AI Talent for Developer Recruiting

Scale AI, a data-labeling company, has acquired the team from Pesto AI, a startup specializing in helping
companies recruit developers remotely. The move was announced in a blog post by a Pesto AI founder.
Pesto AI, established in 2017 by Ayush Jaiswal and Rahul Jaimini, co-founder of Swiggy, an Indian food
delivery platform, had secured funding from notable investors including Ryan hoover of Product Hunt and Sahil
Lavingia of Gumroad. Crunchbase data indicates that Pesto AI raised over $8 million.
With the acquisition, Pesto AI will shut down. The company’s linkedin page listed 71 employees; however, the
number of employees joining Scale AI remains unclear.
Jaiswal wrote in the blog post that he made the decision to join Scale AI earlier this year. He added that the move represents the next chapter in his passion for exploring how AI can create opportunities for people. His LinkedIn profile now lists him as head of growth at Scale AI.
