Clarification on Vietnam Circus Federation’s Support for Flood Victims

People’s Artist Tong Toan Thang, Director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, has addressed the recent misinformation circulating online regarding the unit’s support for flood victims.

Contrary to the false claims, the Vietnam Circus Federation did not transfer 10,000 VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to support people affected by floods. People’s Artist Tong Toan Thang emphasized that this information is entirely inaccurate.

The Vietnam Circus Federation has a long history of supporting people affected by natural disasters and floods through the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Trade Union. Each member of the unit contributes one day’s salary, which is then transferred to the Ministry’s Trade Union.

“The value of support lies not in the amount, but in the thought and effort behind it. The Vietnam Circus Federation, as an agency under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, has responded to the Ministry’s call to action. All artists in the unit have donated one day’s salary, which will be transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee through the Ministry’s Trade Union,” explained People’s Artist Tong Toan Thang.

Despite being abroad, People’s Artist Tong Toan Thang expressed his distress over the defamatory information spreading on social networks. He is taking steps to file a petition with the authorities to verify the account responsible for spreading the false information.
