ISTANBUL, Türkiye – Scandlines’ new zero direct emissions ferry has successfully completed its initial sea trials ⁤in teh Marmara ‌Sea, Türkiye. The⁤ trials, known as Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT), followed a period of equipment dock testing of the⁣ ship’s auxiliary systems and a triumphant running test, according to Scandlines.

“During the two weeks of tests at sea, the batteries and electrical⁣ installations of the ship were tested. The propulsion system could also be seen for⁤ the first time,” ⁤said Rasmus Nielsen, Vice President of Fleet and ⁤Scandlines Administration.
