Screenwriter ayman Bahjat Qamar Sheds Light on Behind-the-Scenes Challenges
Renowned screenwriter Ayman Bahjat Qamar recently addressed rumors surrounding the highly anticipated Adel Imam series, “Valentino,” revealing details about deleted scenes and the series’ delayed release. Speaking on the “Sari Kali” program “Cairo and the People,” Qamar clarified that scenes were not removed due to Imam’s health.
“Production was halted in 2017 and 2018 to allow for the completion of the work,” Qamar explained.”The aim was to air the series in 2019.”
He elaborated that the extended production break, lasting over eight months, led to a dip in Imam’s enthusiasm for the project. “We wanted to give the leader Adel Imam a break and allow him to rest until the end of filming,” qamar said.
The screenwriter emphasized the team’s commitment to ensuring Imam’s well-being throughout the process. “We wanted to comfort him, as there were some challenging scenes. We sought simple solutions to ensure the series’ completion,” he added.
Qamar also shared a personal anecdote, highlighting his close relationship with Imam. “Every time I speak to him, I ask his sons, Rami and Muhammad, to relay my message. When I was growing up, Adel Imam was a constant presence in our home.He was my father’s friend and a mentor to me,” he fondly recalled.
