A complete health education campaign concluded September 27, 2024, in Zanzibar, focused on preventing schistosomiasis, a serious parasitic disease impacting public health and socioeconomic development. The initiative, which began September 10, 2024, targeted key populations – communities, schools, workplaces, and government agencies - with accurate and practical details.

The campaign employed a variety of methods to maximize reach and understanding.These included video screenings illustrating the disease’s lifecycle and transmission, practical demonstrations of preventative measures, and powerful patient testimonials sharing personal experiences. Interactive activities were also utilized to engage participants and reinforce key messages.
