Norbert Maczo, 48, will become the new head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kardinal Schwarzenberg Klinikum in Schwarzach on February 16, 2026, the hospital announced on January 20, 2026.
Maczo currently serves as the chief physician of the Gynecology Department at the Neustadt an der aisch Clinic in Middle Franconia, Bavaria. He specializes in minimally invasive gynecological surgery.Until he transitions to the second-largest hospital in the Austrian state of Salzburg, Wernfried Gappmayer and Tobias Jäger, two experienced Salzburg gynecologists, will support the team.
