Injury Details
Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson sustained a left hamstring tear during an offseason workout, the team announced on Friday, September 20, 2025. He is expected to miss basketball activities for four to eight weeks.

Impact on Training Camp and Early Season
The Trail Blazers are scheduled to begin training camp next week. Even with a four-week recovery, Henderson is highly likely to miss the team’s initial games of the upcoming season.
Henderson’s Role with the Trail Blazers
Henderson, 21, was anticipated to assume a larger role with Portland this season following the July trade of Anfernee Simons to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Jrue Holiday. Last season, Henderson averaged 12.7 points,5.1 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per game. He was originally selected by the Blazers as the third overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft.
Following the All-Star break last season, Henderson’s performance increased to an average of 13.4 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.0 rebounds.
