Scotland is setting its sights on securing a spot in the 2026 World Cup,which will be held in the USA,Mexico,and Canada.The Scottish Football Association emphasizes its commitment to supporting Steve Clarke and the team in their World Cup 2026 qualification quest.
chief Executive Ian Maxwell said the focus remains firmly on Clarke and ensuring the team qualifies for the tournament. He noted the desire to replicate the atmosphere of Euro 2024 for the Tartan Army at the World Cup.
Scotland’s journey to the World Cup 2026 begins Sept. 5 with an away match against Denmark. They will also face Greece and Belarus in Group C.
Maxwell highlighted Clarke’s ambition to reach the World Cup, adding that the squad is capable and eager to participate. He urged everyone to rally behind the team to ensure their presence in North America.
Clarke, who succeeded Alex McLeish, is approaching Craig Brown’s record of 71 matches as Scotland’s manager from 1993 to 2002.
