Scheffler earned a $10 million check for the win, bringing his career total to $130,390,661 and eclipsing Woods’ long-standing mark of $120,999,166, which had stood since Feb. 13, 2000.

Scheffler accomplished the milestone at 30 years old, moving past Woods faster than the 15-time major champion accumulated his earnings over decades on the tour. According to Golfweek, Scheffler’s single-season earnings hit $30,937,525 in 2026, breaking his own previous record of $29,228,357 set in 2024. Scheffler secured the title by posting a 4-under 66 in the final round to close out the FedExCup Playoffs. Scheffler needed a solo-13th or better finish at East Lake to pass Woods, after coming up just $608,505 short following a T12 finish at the BMW Championship in St. Louis where he played through hand, foot, and mouth disease.
