Sculptor Capital Closes $408M CLO, Bolstering Credit Portfolio

Sculptor Capital Management, Inc. has finalized Sculptor CLO XXXV (Sculptor CLO 35), a $408 million collateral loan obligation (CLO) transaction.This latest closing brings Sculptor’s total managed assets to 34 CLOs and CBOs, valued at approximately $13 billion across both the U.S. and Europe.The closing of this collateral loan obligation highlights the firm’s strength in CLO management.
The credit portfolio supporting Sculptor CLO 35 consists of a nearly fully ramped $400 million portfolio, primarily in senior secured loans. The CLO features a five-year reinvestment period and a two-year non-call period. BNP Paribas arranged the deal, which saw strong demand for its debt and equity tranches from various prominent global institutions.
Josh Eisenberger, executive managing director and head of U.S. CLO Management at Sculptor,noted the firm’s history of navigating multiple credit cycles. He credited investor support and the experience of the Institutional Credit Strategies (ICS) business.
“The execution of CLO 35 – despite challenging market conditions – demonstrates not only the resilience of our credit platform but also the strong momentum and performance we’ve seen over the last 18 months,” Eisenberger said.
Since 2012, Sculptor has issued 46 clos and CBOs in the U.S. and europe. As of March 1,2025,the firm manages $23 billion in global credit assets,encompassing corporate,asset-based,and real estate credit strategies.
