Roster Moves Announced
The Seattle Seahawks announced roster adjustments on Tuesday,November 5,2023,waiving safety Jerrick Reed II to create space for newly acquired wide receiver Rashid Shaheed.
In a corresponding move, the team also signed wide receiver Mac Dalena to their practice squad.
Jerrick Reed II’s Status
Reed, selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, had recently been elevated to the 53-man roster prior to Seattle’s Week 9 game against the Arizona Cardinals. He will be subject to waivers, and if unclaimed, is eligible to rejoin the Seahawks’ practice squad.
Rashid Shaheed Joins the Seahawks
Shaheed arrived at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, following a trade with the New Orleans Saints. Seattle sent fourth- and fifth-round draft picks to new Orleans in exchange for the receiver.
mac Dalena Added to Practice Squad
Dalena, an undrafted rookie from Fresno State, initially signed with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this year before being waived before the start of the season. During his senior year at Fresno State, Dalena earned first-team All-Mountain West honors, leading the team with 64 receptions for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns.
