Apple Introduces Enhanced iPhone and Mac Mirroring Features

Following the latest updates to macOS 15.1 Sequoia and iOS 18.1 Beta 5, Apple has introduced a range of exciting features that enhance the mirroring capabilities between iPhone and Mac devices.

The updated iPhone mirroring feature allows users to directly control their iPhone from a nearby Mac, ensuring both security and convenience. This feature enables users to perform remote operations on their Mac while their iPhone remains locked.

This design caters to the user’s multitasking needs, allowing for flexible device switching and seamless workflow connections in various scenarios, such as meetings, creation, or learning.

In addition to the enhanced mirroring feature, iOS 18.1 Beta 5 and macOS 15.1 Sequoia Beta 5 also implement cross-device forwarding of iPhone notifications. Users can choose to receive notifications from all apps or specific apps, ensuring they stay informed without unnecessary interruptions.

The most notable feature is the addition of drag-and-drop file transfer between iPhone and Mac devices. Users who have updated to the latest beta can now easily drag and drop files between the two devices.
