Sebastián Villa will continue his career with Independiente Rivadavia after reaching an agreement to play with the Mendoza club through the first half of 2026. The Colombian winger had been linked to clubs in Brazil, mexico, and Saudi Arabia following a strong year with Independiente.
Villa announced his return to Mendoza on social media. Due to a late start to preseason training, he won’t participate in Independiente’s opening matches in the Argentine League – their debut is Friday, January 23rd against Atlético Tucumán.
A release clause of $6 million has been set on Villa’s contract. If triggered, it would become the second-highest sale in Independiente rivadavia’s history.
