Security Heightened at Agostina’s Home Amid Rising Tension in Mosconi Neighborhood

Agostina Vega, a 14-year-old girl who had been missing for seven days in the province of Córdoba, Argentina, was found dead on May 30, 2026. Her body was discovered in an open field in the Ampliación Ferreyra neighborhood, located south of the provincial capital.

The discovery followed more than 24 hours of search operations in the area, which consists of grasslands spanning more than 200 hectares and is situated approximately 12 kilometers from the city center. Authorities located the remains after 2:00 p.m. On May 30.

Judicial authorities believe the teenager was deceived by Barrelier, who was a former partner of her mother. Investigators suggest she was convinced that she was going to retrieve a gift for her mother.

Security cameras captured Barrelier entering his home with Agostina on the night of May 23, 2026. This footage represents the last known image of the girl. Authorities are currently working to determine the events that occurred inside the residence during those hours and whether other individuals were present.

Following the notification of the discovery, Agostina’s mother suffered a medical emergency at the home from which the girl had departed on May 23 and required assistance from an ambulance.
