Seniors Festival: Plusfestival November 21
Staying Active: A key to Thriving in Later Life
As we age, maintaining an active lifestyle isn’t just about fitness-it’s about preserving vitality and enhancing overall well-being. Research consistently demonstrates a strong link between regular physical activity and a longer, happier, and more autonomous life. Movement helps maintain muscle mass, bone density, and cognitive function, all crucial components of healthy aging.
On Friday, November 21, 2025, the Westland Senior Council Foundation is hosting a “Plus Festival” focused on empowering seniors to remain active and engaged. The event, themed ”Seniors on the move…!”, will showcase resources and data designed to help individuals continue living comfortably and independently at home for as long as possible.
The festival will feature a variety of organizations offering support and guidance. Representatives from Pieters Behandel Praktijk will be present to discuss their services and how they can assist with maintaining health and independence. Attendees can explore assistive devices and learn about programs designed to support aging in place.
