The Seongnam Office of Education and Support, along with the Bundang, Seongnam Jungwon, and Seongnam Crystal Police Stations, convened a ceremony to launch a joint campaign aimed at preventing school violence and gambling in 2025.
The opening ceremony took place at Tancheon Stadium during the ’Education Director Athletics Competition’ held at the Tancheon Sports Complex. The four institutions intend to enhance collaboration between law enforcement and the Education Support Office to proactively prevent school violence and gambling, while also encouraging active involvement from students, parents, and teachers.
Following the ceremony, participants engaged with the public both inside and outside the Tancheon Sports Complex, distributing materials promoting the prevention of school violence and gambling, and conveying messages emphasizing the eradication of these issues.
According to the Seongnam Office of Education’s Hanyangsu Education Center, We will operate various educational programs so that students can learn and practice care of consideration and respect through this campaign. We will also focus on the education programme for students, parents and teachers.
Chung Jin-gwan, chief of the Bundang Police Station, stated, School violence and cyber gambling are serious problems that threaten students’ safety and the future, so the police and education offices will work closely together to develop ways to eradicate them.
