Egyptian club Zamalek want to sign Spanish defender Sergio Ramos (38), who is now without a team after his second spell as a player for Sevilla. Zamalek is considered one of the most successful clubs in Egypt and the African continent, but it is currently facing a major crisis, especially on an economic level.

Ali Hisham, the son of Zamalek vice president, confirmed reports in Spanish newspaper AS on Friday that talks had been held to include Ramos and added: “Zamalek is a big club and deserves players like him (Ramos). We see that the contract with Ramos is not only a problem, but also in terms of marketing, the player is free and it would be beneficial for any club in the world to sign him”

For his part, the players’ mediator, Omar Jaluk, confirmed in a statement reported by the same source that Real Madrid had been in contact with the former player’s agent and added: “I have been in contact with Ramos’ agent, and the player has no objection to coming to Egypt.” He added: “The talks are not over yet. They have only been postponed until the African Super Cup takes place.” At the same time, those close to Ramos confirmed, and according to AS, there was no official offer from Zamalek. The former Royal Club player recently received an offer from Saudi Al-Oruba club, and there was also interest from San Diego in the American League, with another offer, which was from the Brazilian League.
