Roland DGA Brings New Apparel‌ Customization Experience to U.S. Open Tennis

Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer and distributor‌ of commercial inkjet printers, is pleased to announce ‌that its‍ U.S. sales subsidiary Roland DGA and YR, a developer of software that allows users to experience custom product design, provided apparel customization services at the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, which were held in Flushing, ⁣New York ⁢from August 19th to September 8th.

At this year’s US ⁤Open, Roland DGA and YR provided a service where ‍visitors could freely⁢ design and purchase apparel on the‍ spot using‌ on-demand printing with the DTF (Direct To Film) printer “VersaSTUDIO BY-20” and ‍YR’s latest software. They also​ established a ⁣system to ⁤produce more than 10,000 high-quality products.⁣ At the US Open, where tradition and innovation blend together, the technology and ‌expertise of both ⁤companies were utilized to expand the possibilities of on-demand customization.

“The BY-20 is a compact printer that is capable of highly accurate and efficient apparel decoration,” said Amado Lara, President of Roland DGA. “Combined with YR’s latest software, we were able to create a system that allowed⁤ U.S. Open attendees⁢ to ‍design their own personalized apparel ‌on-site and ‍have it printed at the same time.”

Regarding the partnership with Roland DGA, Tim Williams, CEO of ‍YR, said, “We are excited to work with a leader in digital printing⁤ to bring our technology to the prestigious U.S. Open.⁣ Our software and the VersaSTUDIO ‍BY-20 have enabled us to create a new customization experience for fans.”

Roland DGA and YR’s latest technology‍ made it ⁢easy for​ visitors to ⁤create special, memorable items. Visitors designed products‌ with YR’s software ‍using large touch screens installed in shops and‍ kiosks around the venue, or their own smartphones. Orders ⁤were printed simultaneously on ‍a BY-20 printer ⁤installed in YR’s print center at the venue, with each step of the ordering and printing process managed automatically.
