The latest installment in the series, which has sold over 70,000 copies in total. The service feature in the specialist magazine “Tennis Magazine” prompted the publication of the MOOK ”Tennis Naruhodo Lesson Marugoto Issatsu Service” (June 2007). It was so well received that in June 2009, the book “Tennis Marugoto Issatsu Service” was released, and in August of the same year, the DVD “Tennis Marugoto Service” based on the book was released.
The book has been reprinted 15 times to date and has been loved as a service bible for tennis players for many years, but after 15 years, it has been updated to take advantage of the teaching experience the author has accumulated and to reflect current service techniques.
The basis of the serve is the “natural spin serve,” and the instruction to pursue this stroke remains the same, but a trigger to start the movement more smoothly has been added to the ”stance.” In addition, an explanation of the “lower body” to generate power, and “arm path” and “impact,” which are thought to be misunderstood by many players, have been added.
The last chapter includes ”50 service drills” to master the natural spin serve. The total number of pages is 304, an increase of 64 from the previous book’s 240 pages, and videos (which can be viewed by scanning a QR code) such as the natural spin serve are included to make some movements easier to understand.
