All 13 members of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN have officially renewed their contracts with PLEDIS Entertainment, ensuring the group remains intact as a full ensemble. The announcement was made on April 5, 2026, during the final show of the group’s world tour encore concert held at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.

Leader S.Coups personally shared the news during the event, confirming that the members had reached a decision to continue their partnership with the agency after deep internal conversations. This marks the second time the group has completed a full-member contract renewal, following an early extension they signed in July 2021.

After having deep conversations among ourselves, all 13 of us decided to renew our contracts. We’ll stay on the same ship and keep rowing forward together with all our strength.

Tour Finale and Group Status

The revelation occurred during the grand finale of the SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR ‘NEW_’ ENCORE, which took place on April 4 and April 5, 2026. The tour began in September 2025 and spanned 14 cities, including Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Japan, Bangkok, Singapore and Bulakan, drawing over 800,000 attendees across 29 shows.

During the announcement, S.Coups noted the significance of the timing, stating that the group felt it was right to share the news before the upcoming CARAT LAND event. He also acknowledged members currently serving in the military, expressing a wish that Hoshi and Woozi could have been present for the announcement alongside Jeonghan and Wonwoo.

Industry Context and Performance

The decision to renew as a complete unit is viewed as a reinforcement of the group’s one team identity, particularly as they approach their 11th anniversary on May 26. Such stability is noted as rare for idol groups at this stage of their career lifecycle.

SEVENTEEN enters this new contract period following a series of significant commercial successes. Their 2023 EP FML surpassed 6 million copies sold, making it one of the best-selling K-pop releases in history. The group’s fifth studio album, Happy Burstday, released on May 26, 2025, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

The encore concert in Incheon featured a setlist that included Thunder and HBD, as well as the introduction of Son Goko from their latest mini album rollout, culminating in an Eternal-themed finale.

Historical Contract Stability

The group’s history of early renewals began in 2021. At that time, PLEDIS Entertainment stated that the extension was agreed upon in advance of the original expiration dates to ensure the group could continue making music and performing for their fans based on mutual trust.

PLEDIS Entertainment previously committed to providing full support for the members both as a collective group and as individual soloists, focusing on long-term promotional planning to maintain the group’s position as top artists in Korea.
